1- Recognizing at lease 2.2 billion people are libing with vision impairment or blindness of whom 1 billion could have been prevented or is yet to be addressed
2- Provide support to implement the recommendations in the world report on vision as part of support to achieve universal health coverage
3- Focus on effective coverage of refractive error and cataract surgery
4- Support the creating of a global research agenda for eye health
